I help leadership teams make high-velocity, high-confidence decisions.
Taylor Otstot pulls together whatever tools, data, and operating cadence the moment calls for — 15+ years leading FP&A, go-to-market strategy, and cross-functional operations at GoDaddy and Dashlane.
Fifteen years running the operating backbone of scaling companies.
I've spent fifteen years building the operating and finance backbone of scaling companies — go-to-market strategy, M&A integration, and cross-functional teams, alongside FP&A.
It started as an auditor at EY, then eight years through GoDaddy's decade of scale, and now as VP of Finance at Dashlane. My conviction: the best operators treat finance and operations as one discipline, not two — building the cadence that lets a leadership team see around corners instead of reacting to them.
I write about what I'm learning at CFO Frameworks, and speak occasionally on operating strategy, business partnership, and how leadership teams earn a seat at the table.
A few contrarian beliefs.
Four ideas from the newsletter that tend to get pushback the first time someone hears them — and click immediately the second time.
Indecision compounds like debt.
Every deferred decision creates leverage — it either multiplies your options or mortgages them. The interest keeps accruing whether you're paying attention or not.
Read "Decision Debt" →Fast is fragile.
Urgency without autonomy just produces noise — more pings, more dashboards, less progress. Real speed comes from clarity and decision rights, not hustle.
Read "Fast is Fragile" →The numbers will never speak for themselves.
Even perfect analysis fails if it doesn't persuade someone to act. The job isn't to inform — it's to move the room from insight to action.
Read "The Numbers Will Speak for Themselves" →Playing it safe is just a respectable way to lose.
The safe choice isn't the one that avoids failure — it's the one that guarantees you'll never be excellent. Loss aversion makes "defensible" and "effective" feel like the same thing. They rarely are.

From the audit room to running the business.
Four stops, one throughline: building organizations — finance, operations, and everything in between — that scale with the business, not behind it.
I lead FP&A and investor relations at Dashlane, partnering with the executive team and board on strategy, GTM pricing, and the trade-offs that keep a growth-stage SaaS business disciplined. I also spent nine months as interim head of Business Analytics — hiring the permanent VP and overhauling how the company's dashboards drive decisions.
Eight years, four promotions, one job: run the operating cadence behind the business. I led strategy and operating mechanisms across GoDaddy's U.S. Independents, Go-to-Market, and Commerce businesses — $1.3B in P&L responsibility serving 10 million customers — and led finance and operational integration for two acquisitions, building the teams and delivery plans that took them from deal close to run-rate. Along the way, I scaled the Care & Services org from 1,500 to 6,000+ employees across 20 locations while cutting cost of care from 12% to under 8% of bookings, without slowing sales.
He has an incredible ability to range from strategic corporate-level decisions to tactical operational support … I leaned on him as a thought partner across all aspects of the business.
My first taste of public-company finance — reporting and analysis for one of the country's largest net-lease REITs.
Started my career the way a lot of finance leaders do: in the audit room at EY, learning what rigor actually looks like.
